Sony versus iTunes
Having been introduced to iTunes by a friend, I have enjoyed listening to music while working on my computer. The download concept as a whole is a perfect way to listen to songs you like while skipping the purchase of a complete album. That being said I rarely download songs from my favorite bands as I already have the album (one exception is the Beatles - I would gladly download the occasional song but their catalog has been kept conspicuously offline).
Recently I have added a second service into the mix: Sony Connect. I was able to instantly download a couple of tunes that I had never found through Apple. Sony is also offering some clever promotions like free downloads with the purchase of some Memory Stick packages (Memory stick is the constant between all Sony products - computers, cameras, and now more importantly, Sony PSP).
I have to say I have a certain predisposition towards the Sony brand. However, if you are new to the download game, Sony Connect offers a product well worth checking out.
